ART-Osnastka is an international company with 20 years of history which was once built from scratch by a team of associates, and came a long way of becoming a large player in the Russian oilfield service market
From the moment of its establishment in 2004 the Company has been following the way of continuous technology development and expansion of products range. Regular modernization of company’s production facilities allows to pursue our plans and provide our clients with innovative and effective solutions for the set objectives. Every day over 250 highly qualified employees work hard to perform all production processes at a high quality level and on time.
ART-Osnastka JSC was established in 2004 on the initiative of Rasim Talgatovich Asfandiyarov, in the future chief executive officer of the Company until 2011. Descending from a family of drilling engineers and being a graduate of Ufa State Petroleum Technological University, he had worked over 20 years in research and design institution “BashNIPIneft”.He climbed a career ladder from a well drilling engineer to the head of the well casing engineering and technologies group of the drilling technology optimization sector in the department of drilling operations. During that time he conducted a great amount of research, wrote a substantial number of scientific articles and publications in the field of well casing. He is an author and a co-author of inventions. A lot of these inventions received patents. Later, a part of this knowledge, inventions and research became a scientific and engineering base for establishing ART-Osnastka JSC.
Three founding members of the Company are its only employees. The first 20 m2 building for manufacturing workshop was rented where assembly and painting of the products were performed. All the parts for future products were manufactured at outsource companies.
Manufacturing facility was moved to a new 330 m2 workshop and first universal machines, made in USSR, were purchased. Thus, the Company started its own production of parts for personal needs which facilitated the manufacturing process.
The Company moved to another workshop of 450 m2 and purchased the first computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
ART-Osnastka was the first company in Russia, producing floating check valves and shoes, as well as PDC drillable plugs with an anti-rotation option.
Beginning of cooperation with the Russian representative offices of the largest international oil servicing companies HALLIBURTON, Schlumberger and Weatherford.
Having taken the lead again, our Company became the first in Russia to develop and release to the market an inflatable hydraulic casing packer with reinforcement plates.
The Company underwent serious expansion of production facilities and purchased 2300 m2 workshop and considerable amount of modern CNC machines. ART-Osnastka participated in the international exhibition “NEFTEGAZ-2017” and demonstrated its technologies, consequently becoming a permanent participant of such events not only in Russia but abroad.
Beginning of production of one piece bow-spring centralizers for casing strings with further expansion of manufacturing and warehouse areas to 5900 m2.
HALLIBURTON representatives from the American office visited ART-Osnastka plant. This meeting laid the foundation of cooperation to localize production of HALLIBURTON completion equipment in Russia. ART-Osnastka successful passed an audit from TMK-premium and became an official TMK UP licensee for cutting premium thread connections.
ART-Osnastka participated with its own stand in the international oil and gas exhibition ADIPEC-2019 in the UAE, Abu-Dhabi. A lot of negotiations with potential agents were held to represent Company’s interests in the UAE and countries of the Middle East. ART-Osnastka signed an agent agreement with Al Mazroui Trading and General Services LLC, UAE leading supplier of services and wide range of equipment for land and offshore exploration, drilling and oil and gas production. ART-Osnastka purchased a controlling share of ROSTTECH LLC – a Russian developer of expanding systems for abandonment of leaking production casing strings and liners of oil and gas wells.
Within the framework of cooperation with HALLIBURTON, a new workshop for production of swellable packers according to the HALLIBURTON technology was built and launched. ART-Osnastka successfully passed an audit on comprehensive solutions for exploration and production from “ExxonMobil” group for quality supply during well development (WQT). Positive result of the audit allowed our Company to obtain qualification for production and supply of swellable packers for «ExxonMobil» projects. As of today, Sakhalinmorneftegaz-Shelf JSC successfully used 12 swellable packers manufactured by ART-Osnastka.
ART-Osnastka qualified for the project of the Association of growth technological companies of the Russian Federation “National champions”. The Company became one of 15 winners chosen in 2021 from over 1600 participants. Development of technology for oil and gas production stimulation became one of the new focuses of the Company. The Company began the development of APG compressors, designed for gas evacuation from annulus to reduce pressure draw-down of the pay zone and increase well debit.
Due to considerable changes in the worldwide geopolitical situation, owners of the Company made a decision to create two additional business directions: high-tech machining services for customized workpieces and supply, and commissioning and servicing of metalworking equipment.
ART-Osnastka supplied the first development APG compressor prototype within the framework of the pilot testing agreement with RN-Yuganskneftegaz LLC.
